Rip offs! The bums. I roll my own change and we count rolls when I deposit my change. Still you should be able to trust their machines. When you deposit large amounts of $20s you tell them how much you have and they double check with their $20 bill counter. That seems to work. Sheesh!

We've had those machines locally for about 10 years. I know that they short you anywhere from $5-$38 depending on the size of the deposit. I'd much rather roll my coins, and not toss money down the toilet. It's mainly for the lazy individuals.

This really is nothing new folks.

For as long as I can remember, accurate counting of coins through machines at the bank have only occured through two or three passes through.

I remember depositing a bunch of Lincolns back in the 90's which took three passes and fortunately the third pass matched the first pass.

The reality is that if you want an accurate tally, just do it yourself.
