OK, so I saw a darker worn Lincoln Cent on the coffee table yesterday. I checked it out. When I tilted it it seemed lustrous - maybe mint state? Then I saw some color. Finally I saw color in the fields.

A similar process happened when I photographed it. First I tried for the darker with the protected areas copper in color. Then I tilted the cent to try to show some of the blue. Finally I tilted more to try to show the mottled color in the fields.
