eBay is having technical problems 11/21

I could see they were having problems delivering the ads that show up on the very bottom left of this forum. I also noticed some small glitches while browsing their site. Hopefully they will get things working soon! I would like a job, I would like to help eBay with their software, but I must say I'm glad I'm not one of the programmers in the hot seat right now!

From email they sent me:

As you may know, the eBay.com site has been experiencing issues with search results since Saturday morning US Pacific time.  This same issue is also affecting RSS and API feeds in the US as well as a few additional countries.  As a result, any creative placements and widgets that use these systems may not be rendering correctly on your sites. 

A number of technical teams have been working all day on fixing the issue and will continue through the evening/night until it is resolved. We may also delay posting earnings and EPC?s on Sunday while we assess the overall impact.

A lot of silver and gold were going for below melt last night in auctions since many people could not access the search list.  I feel bad for the sellers who lost out on a lot of money.

I do feel a tinge of regret for any sellers who suffered loss from the outage.
I do not know why, z'actly, but I was given a 10% coupon for my trouble?  Huh?

I did have about 54 watched listings, and bids on another 20-25 auctions.
Did not win anything.  Was not really looking to win anything, for that matter.

I will prolly use the coupon, tho...
