Welcome!

All quarters dated 1964 or earlier are 90% silver so are definitely worth keeping. Each one is worth around $3 just for the silver alone. There are a few dates that are worth more if the coins are close to new in condition. Keep you eye out for a 32-D or 32-S which are worth a lot more in any condition.

Also look for dimes dated 1964 or earlier, they are 90% silver too. So are halves but I don't guess people use many half dollars anymore.

What Carl said.

That's the kind of find that really gets a coin collector excited. Cool

At 12 (plus) times face value you have about $86.00 worth of silver there Vicki.
Way to go!!

Here's a link that tells you the exact 'melt' value of your coins although you'd be hard pressed to find anyone to give that much.
I think coin shops would offer you about 11X or less.

Maybe Vicki's pulling a long shift?

Why can't I find silver in my change? Cry

Last time I found silver it was a reject from a Coinstar machine. It was a dime so nbd, but I still was thrilled.
