As a dealer is it good that I love all coins. I can find something nice to say about all coins. It helps when writing auction listings.

The attached coin was a tough one though. It just rubs me the wrong way. The nicest thing I could find to say is that the coin is made from silver. I guess I could also say it was minted in New Orleans. Smiley

I must be losing it! Maybe it is your turn, your time, to be a part time coin dealer?

 Cry

Is the rim damage very bad?  I see a couple of dings. They will,  for me anyway,
turn me off..

The rim dings aren't that bad and don't kill it for me. It looks like it has been scrubbed and is lifeless and dead to me.

What's the Reverse look like?  There's four 1882 O in the top 100 Vams.

40.
 1882-O
  VAM-3
O/S Flush. Look for the rare early die state

41.
 1882-O
  VAM-4
O/S Recessed. An Ultra-rare early die state is known.

42.
 1882-O
  VAM-5
O/S Broken. Look for the rare early die state.

43.
 1882-O
  VAM-7
 O/O repunched mintmark

Looks like a plain O to me. I just pulled the coin and it looks worse in hand than in the photos; it has more tiny ticks and is shinier.  I hope I don't get a return!
