I guess it isn't a coin.  Sad I do like it though. I was surprised to see it is stamped sterling.  Shocked

Sterling? I would have expected coin silver before sterling.

It's stamped sterling. A nice heavy buckle too. I remember other turquoise jewelry was made with sterling...

I guess I may be trying to compare it to navaho jewelry like some that I bought on a trip back in the last 3/4 of the last century.

Its Mexican. I was surprised to find it for one thing, then surprised again to learn contained a bit of silver. Smiley
