Sure you can.
I saw the above question on another diet forum. Someone who chose to use the word "fatty" as part of their online handle asked it. The thing that got me was that most of the replies were critical.
"No, you need more variety." Sure variety is super, the more the better. The more varied your diet the more interesting it is so you feel less deprived. The more varied it is the more likely you are to eat all necessary nutrients without the need for any vitamin supplements. But of course you can buy a $5 footlong and eat half for lunch and half for supper. A footlong with meat, cheese and mayo is probably around 700 calories much less than a double Whopper or Big Mac w/ fries. Eating only half ensures you are burning more calories than you consume and will lead to weight loss.
No, you can do better. Eat whole grain bread, fresher local veggies, yadda, yadda, yadda. Hey it is great to buy local. It is great to eat only whole grains. But talk about picky, talk about critical. This person should be applauded for having modest, healthy meals. It isn't like the question was what is better than a Subway.
A word of advice: Don't use the word fatty when creating your online username. You won't be fat forever. It takes a lifestyle change to permanently lose weight. You need to eat fewer calories than you burn and you will lose weight. It can take a while but you have the rest of your life. The goal is to not be a "fatty". Visualize yourself eating less. Visualize yourself lighter and thinner. It will happen so look forward rather than back.
