I walk. It is my favorite exercise. I also like to garden. At least once a year I go on a backpacking trip mostly to see if I can still do it. It is kind of a challenge.

I'm preparing for a 30 mile backpacking trip. I will hike from Castle Rock State Park in the hills above Los Gatos through Big Basin and out to the Pacific Ocean at Rancho Del Oso State Park which is just south of Ano Nuevo Park where the Elephant seals visit.

Recently I spent a day hiking to and scrambling down the Arroyo River Gorge. That story with photos is on my website: http://www.carlwohlforth.com/blog/ArroyoSeco.htm

I use my exercise machine, Her name is Elizabeth Grin. Actually I enjoy riding bikes w/my daughter to the park. I get a pretty good workout there as well. I also lift weights although not religiously, just whenever the mood strikes.

Living in Manhattan I do a lot of walking. Sold my car when I moved here almost 3 years ago, so walking is the way to go.

Need to get back into strength training, the older we get he more difficult some things get. Smiley

Sounds like you're doing the right thing and having the right attitude.

I sure hope a lot of baby boomers are doing the same as you.

I walk too. Not having a car makes you walk a lot.

I chase my 3-year-old daughter around. I also take her on bike rides to the park where I chase her around the playground. I also take her to the neighborhood pool to swim in the summer. Having a little one is a good way to get daily exercise. I also like to play golf, hike and fish. Fishing isn't much exercise but I tend to fish from shore, so I do a lot of hiking and walking along the banks.

Vega: welcome to this forum! I'd say chasing a 3 year old around is the very best exercise around! Smiley And when they get too tired they want to be carried.
