People must have some seasonal favorite(s) that they rarely get to consume otherwise, what are some of these special treats?

Mine is kielbasa in a well heated mixture of guava jelly and chili sauce (2 parts chili to 1 part guava).

As a kid it was popcorn balls and jumbo prawns, served separately of course.

Well, now, that sure is one heck of a specialty! I never heard of kielbasa in a mix of guava jelly and chili. Might be a good dish for around here, there is a big mix of cultures in the Bay Area.

Let's see if I can figure this one out. Kielbasa is eastern European, say Polish. Guava is tropical. Chili is originally from south or central America. So that is one heck of a mix!

We do an American Turkey feast here on Christmas. It is a good time for eating. One family member sends us sausage from Alaska - it has some reindeer meat in it! Another sends us maple syrup from New England. We also get a Honey Baked Ham.

When I was a kid we would get some seasonal Jewish foods from the local stores as well fruit cake. We lived in NYC and there were loads of different kinds of stores with all kinds of interesting foods.
