I went to an open house at Brocade today. There may have been as many as 1,000 people there to apply for 100 jobs. I had a grand time chatting with the other applicants as we waited for our chance to get screened by some nice HR people. It is a touch environment out here in Silicon Valley but as an optimist who always looks for a silver lining in all clouds I'm thinking we already hit bottom. Intel reported great earnings yesterday so the reported death of technology is premature. Smiley

what's a j-o-b? ahh you mean that fella that's mentioned in the bible?

ahh what a great life to be jobless and still

- get paid $25 per hour - the $$ automatically deposited on the last day of each month to one's bank a/c

- group coverage on health care,

- get huge $10 an hour raise in 2/2010

Only in America, and few other places

HR departments were the first step in outsourcing ... and not hiring the right people.

It's better to be off the radar ... work for yourself. farm. paint. write.

get out of the cubicle
