Another "Sea Story" from my collection....

We were posted to a small Scottish town when our daughters were 4 & 5.  Neither one had
previously been enrolled in any school/program to date.  My wife checked with the local school
administrators, and learned we could enroll both of the girls.  We did. 

We were given schedules, along with a list of school supplies, that parents were asked
to provide...

My, weren't we surprised to see "Rubbers" on the list.. 

Scottish schools, at that time, were excellent.  The girls were reading within 2-3 months.
Of course we could not read their school books (written in super phonics (ITA-2) and to this
day, they are poor spellers...
