Get random text from people?

I go to look them up and there in my area. Just tonight 850-758-0476 that is a number that text me saying " I have no idea who you are stop ******* calling me." i text them back saying i have no idea who they are and have never text or called them. they dont respond but my question is there a site where you can look up the phone number for free without having to pay to find out who it is i know you can look it up to see the area they are in but was wondering if I could find a name I have gotten a few of these before. and no its not any of my friends I think someone got my phone number some how

Could it be a mistake?

I don't have texting (yes, I am one of the few doing without.) But I occasionally get "wrong numbers" on my voice device. If I can speak the language I say "Sorry, but you must have the wrong number..."

Don't those reverse number lookup websites give you one free lookup? They should.
