I was bored. I am, a lot, lately. I searched Farmed Lobsters. Read a couple of
enlightening comments from seemingly knowledgeable fisherpersons...
Farming lobsters is being done. It has been done for many years. Trouble is, farming
them is very time consuming, and lots 'n lots of trouble. They eat their young. Need colder
water to grow faster; slow growth in warmer waters. They migrate a lot. They take 7 years to
grow to any decent size. What farming that is accomplished now, seems to be raising little suckers to a
size equating to good survival, and then dumping them to grow on their own...
Oh... Big ones (up to 20lbs) and little ones, 1 lb+ are all supposed to taste good! If I ever ate
one larger than 2 lbs, I don't recall...course, I prolly couldn't have afforded it in the first place...
