High speed internet: AT&T is so near yet so far.

AT&T laid fiber in my neighborhood. I am at the end of the line for DSL. AT&T struggles to provide me wtih 600K/sec service. So I wanted to rent a strand of fiber. They would love to but I have to buy TV service. No matter the combo I tried to buy I was denied if I didn't buy U-Verse.

I recently entered into a 2 year contract with Dish. I like my satellite service. I even offered to switch to AT&T wireless for 3 phones, local service and to continue buying monthly service to the Philippines. NO, we have to buy TV. Sorry T, no deal. I will look for alternatives.
