To the State of Maine, particulary the Dept. of Weights and Measures. The hardware store in town uses a scale that only registers in 2/10 increments. So if I were to buy something sold by weight, say seed potatoes for instance if it was 1 pound 1 ounce ounce I get charged for 1 pound 2 ounces. I know it isn't a lot of money and really it isn't even about the money (yes it is) it's the idea that I'm being screwed with the consent of the State because they stamped the scale as being correct.

 Shocked

With recent price increases of most everything we use, require, for our daily existence,

that extra ounce for seed potatoes could very well be the difference between planting

more than the north forty.  I would file a complaint, myself.
