I think we are the only place in the country with cool weather. This is the 2nd summer in a row where I have not had to pull the window air conditioner out from storage. Actually at a top temp of 79 today it is perfect. It is dry so it gets cool at night. We usually have 80s now and usually have a week or two of 100s but not this year. So unusual weather all around.

I live in San Jose, we are 50 miles south of San Francisco and still near enough the bay to get some cooling effects from that. It is about 400 miles north of LA. They have warmer winters while our summers are just about perfect. But like I say it is much cooler than normal this summer, very unusual.

I just got an email from my mom. She lives up by the Canadian border about 1,200 miles north of here. They are having a very cool summer too. She was thinking of starting a fire in August! That's unheard of.

would be nice to havea cool summer but it was really wierd last week here in FL panhandle a rare cold front came down and we had temps in the lower 60's at night and during the day it was cool because there was no humidity in the air  Smiley almost felt like fall
