something got killed, or sounded like it was being killed. It lasted 3 or 4 minutes. I suspect a fisher got ahold of a turkey out behind the house in the woods. Such an awful noise. I heard what sounded like the final gasp for life and then all was quiet. Such is life in the wild. Eat or be eaten, that is the rule.
