Lost my 15 year old basset hound :(

We had to put him down a few days ago he was having problems with going to the bathroom and the vet said it would require surgery and he may not make it if we had the surgery done.
Its very sad having to put an animal down

Very sad. 15 years in a loving family is a good life. A hard thing to do but the best for all involved.

Our 15 y/o shiatsu was having similar difficulty w/kidneys.  Also going blind from cataracts, hip
arthritis; I bawled like a baby taking him in, and after 20 years, I still tear up looking at old
photos.  I feel your grief and know your sadness!

So very sad to hear that. We lost out 12 year old pup a couple years ago and still hurts. Our 14 yer old is starting to show his age now and it gets us very worried. Sorry for your loss.
