My Mom gave me some old books. She told me I could keep what I wanted and sell the rest on eBay. I decided to sell them all except this one. It is Sermons by John Wesley printed in Philadelphia back in 1794. This is the 1st of 4 volumes that were first published in 1771. John Wesley helped found the Methodist movement.
It is in poor condition. It has leather covers. All pages are here, none are loose.
I'm keeping it because it is old and also has been in my family for a very long time. My mom says it belonged to Edward Wooster a distant relative of ours. Then it went to John Taylor (I don't know who he is), then another fellow then to Lillie Margaret Todd Wooster. Lillie is my Mom's Grandmother so is my great grandmother.
Anyway I think it is cool and will keep it along with my collection of books written by members of my family. I know it isn't written by a member of my family but I do have a book collection so I'll just keep this with them.
