Anyone own one of them?  Any comments?  Good, Bad, elsewise....

I scanned a smattering of Amazon comments, but most of 'em seem
written by company execs, looking for a bonus, or brownie points..

Mama is thinking of purchasing one of 'em.  I hate to get the El Cheapo
model, but also don't really wanna spend $400 for a top of the line model, either.

The 550 seems middle of the road good?

I bought an el cheapo model years back. It was great but got hung up on the fringe of a rug. We ended up just using it in the bedroom. It got under the bed and under the dressers which was worth the cost alone.

Jeez, Carl...   The under the bed & dresser's is a real plus!  These newer models, from
briefly reading their stats, can maneuver wood, tile, and carpets, w/o snagging..  Also they
can be programmed to clean at a certain time, as well as rubbing ones feet at the end
of the day..  I am thinking a good Dyson the better buy, for that kinda money?
